Richard Mose is a native of the United Kingdom. Born in London, he grew up in a leafy country town in the south-eastern county of Kent. Always interested in English, language and the power of communication, Richard graduated with an MA in TEFL (the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language) from the University of Kent at Canterbury.

In 1990, Richard was offered a six-month job with Meta Able AB in Stockholm. He forgot to go home and now, more than 30 years and four companies later he is still in Sweden working with what he loves the most - language and communication.

History

iglu (Sweden) AB was set up in 2008 but can trace its roots back to the pioneering language and communication company Meta Able AB in the early 1990s. Meta Able was a leading language and culture company based in Sweden and one of the first to launch a language and e-learning platform (MARS) in 1996. Meta Able was bought by Sveriges Teknologföreningen (STF) in 2000 before being consolidated into Mindset AB.

Richard Mose was one of the original employees and ultimately a co-owner of Meta Able AB with responsibility for the English Language division as well as being responsible for developing, building and implementing the MARS platform. After the sale of Meta Able to STF, Richard decided to leave the company and set up a new organisation, The Works (Sweden) AB in 2002.

The Works continued the tradition of providing leading-edge language, culture and communication training throughout Sweden and via select partners around the world. In 2004, The Works launched learncasting which was a hybrid language e-learning solution combining internet-based training, podcasts and delivery via iPods. In 2008, The Works was bought by the Finnish translation and language training company AAC Global (part of Sanoma) and became their Sweden-based language and training arm.

Since 2008, iglu (Sweden) AB has focused on English language and communication in the form of coaching, training and the recently launched Language Doctor services.
